The Standard emphasizes the need to determine whether equipment has been designed and approved against relevant type approval Standards, and also specifies tests that can reasonably be carried out in a hospital or health care facility. An appendix is included providing the rationale for the electrical tests specified. Other appendices include examples of acceptance and in-service testing reports which need to be completed.
